Your New Salvation

Congratulations! We are so excited you just surrendered your life to Jesus!

This is the most important decision you will ever make. Today you took three important steps to salvation.

You believe that Jesus died for your sins, rose again and is alive for you today

“That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9

You asked God to forgive your sins

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9

You invited Jesus Christ to come into your heart

“Here I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.”
Revelation 3:20

Now that I have surrendered my life to Christ, what's next?

You have just made a decision that will change your entire life forever. You have been adopted into the family of God. God is not a distant creator but a divine Heavenly Father.

As your Father, He has a plan for your life. He tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, “‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.'”

Attend Church

The Bible calls it "fellowship", but it's more than just hanging out with other Christians. In Hebrews 10:24-25 it tells us, 24 "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Connecting with others in this way is only possible when we have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Pray

Prayer is the biblical word for "talking" to God. Prayer is communication between you (a child of God) and your heavenly Father (God). God created you the way you are, and He wants to spend time communicating with you. Ask Him for guidance in the difficult circumstance you are in. Most important of all, ask Him to give you strength and wisdom to live a life that is pleasing to Him. It is our pastors heart that we do not forsake the charge to pray!
